House Rules for Commenting
This blog is my casino.
Readers are allowed — and indeed encouraged — to leave comments on all posts. Open conversation adds value to all content, and makes this establishment a much more fun place to visit.
We may comp you a buffet if you play nice, but like any tightly-run ship, we have our house rules too. Please read these before commenting:
1. You must enter a real name.
Using your first name (like ‘Tammy’) is just fine, but using a screen name or alias looks shady, and your comment will likely be marked as spam. Yes, that means you, ‘buyviagranow’.
2. No irrelevant links.
Posting a link to a site related to the topic of the post, which adds to the discussion, is OK. Posting a link in the comments section to promote your personal blog or product is just weak. Your comment will be marked as spam.
3. Stay on topic
Comments about the post topic are appreciated. Comments that are not related, are not appreciated. Simple as that. Stay on topic.
4. No attacks or abusive language.
We want everyone to have a good time. But if you get drunk and dive across the table at the dealer, the pit boss (and three guys named Vinny) might have a word with you. The same goes for abusive language or personal attacks. Keep it clean.
5. Three-strike rule
The 3-strike rule applies in this house. So while excessive abuse of any of the above guidelines might not get you tasered, it will get you banned for life. Go to jail. Go directly to jail. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.
